Fishing Grounds
Our boat The Grand Illusion is docked in San Juan Bay Marina (dock #11-A) and the fishing starts only
1 mile away from the coast. San Juan, Puerto Rico is the only place in the world where you can start Deep Sea Fishing only 20 minutes away form the dock. This is why you may fish in the morning and play golf in the afternoon!
The Grand Illusion is available for different tournaments around the island. Our home port is moved to any other side of the island for multiple days of fishing. Our main goal is making your San Juan, Puerto Rico fishing trip one you will not forget!
Fishing Seasons
The Blue Marlin season is from May until October with July, August and October being the hottest months. The best time for the blue marlin is during the week of the full moon. Fish become extremely aggressive during the peak months, but the blue marlin can be caught all year round. The small game season is from October to April. During this time you may catch anything from mahi-mahi , wahoo, kingfish, sailfish and white marlin. It is common that you have multiple strikes and hook ups. The crew will provide stand-up gear for those who want the challenge and great time.
